Conference “Security Over the Years – Challenges and Innovations”
At the Stutthof Museum in Sztutowo, a conference titled “Security Over the Years – Challenges and Innovations” was held for students of the Naval Academy. The event was organized in cooperation with the Naval Academy and the Municipal Police Headquarters in Gdynia. It has been a longstanding tradition that every December, students gather at the Museum for this occasion.
The participants were welcomed by Ewa Malinowska, Head of the Museum’s Educational Department, who emphasized the importance of memorial sites in shaping historical identity and preserving the memory of the past, using the Stutthof Museum as an example. In her speech, she highlighted that education in such places not only helps young people better understand history but also allows them to recognize its impact on the present and future.

After the conference session, students had the opportunity to tour the Stutthof Museum with guides. They learned about the tragic history of the Stutthof concentration camp and the fate of its prisoners, allowing them to connect with the difficult and significant past of this memorial site.
An important part of the program was also a lecture by Łukasz Kępski, who discussed online security and provided insights into the role of a museum press officer. His presentation highlighted how modern technological challenges intersect with the mission of cultural memory institutions.

The conference was an excellent opportunity for reflection on the significance of history and its impact on contemporary security issues. Initiatives like this not only provide young generations with knowledge but also help shape their historical awareness and sense of responsibility for the future.
We extend our gratitude to all participants and organizers for their joint efforts in support of #KoalicjaPamięci.
